Blueberry Guitars, Crazy Bass Face Photo Contest, David Hall

Blueberry Guitars

First up, we'd like to welcome Blueberry Guitars to NuMuBu. As a fellow Montreal-based, music industry player, we were very happy to discover Blueberry's exquisite, hand-carved guitars. As with other great visual arts, people love to gaze at these master works from Bali, and guitarists love to play them.

Danny Fonfeder, founder of Blueberry guitars, had the great idea of combining the work of Wayan Tuges - a master wood carver from Bali - with the guitar-building expertise of American luthier, George Morris. What started off as an experiment to make simply beautiful looking and sounding guitars has resulted in an amazing collection of truly unique gems that sound and play as great as they look.

They're currently auctioning a few guitars on ebay. And please visit their profile on NuMuBu.

Crazy Bass Face Photo Contest

We all know the way a musician's face can look in the midst of so-into-it, face-contorting glory. NuMuBu has teamed up with Jody Michael of ANSIR Music to showcase this captivating phenomenon in the brand-new Crazy Bass Face Photo Contest on Facebook. ANSIR is giving away one of their innovatively-designed, custom-built bass guitars to the bass player that submits the winning photo.

Each bass-playing participant is asked to submit a photo showing the facial craziness that can emerge in the midst of passionate playing to the Facebook contest wall. The three photos with the most 'likes' will be set aside each 1st and 15th of the month. Our judges, including Toni Braxton bassist, Walter Barnes Jr., and 14-year old bass-playing prodigy, Mina Burnside, will make the final call on Feb. 14th to decide whose photo shows the craziest of all bass faces.

So enter today and invite all of your friends on Facebook to come and 'like' your photo.
