It was inevitable. Since the launch of NuMuBu, the site has evolved as we've added new features, and revamped old ones. Our numbers have been increasing in all respects, and as they do, it becomes more and more important to know what's working and what isn't. Which means it's time for a survey.

So in the days to come, we plan to implement a very short survey to find out how you're enjoying NuMuBu and what you'd like us to add or improve upon. Your opinion is most important as we want to provide you with the most useful music business resource available on the internet.

In the meantime, if you have any thoughts you'd like to share in advance, you could simply reply to this email answering the following questions with a number from 1 to 5 where 5 is the best and 1 is the worst:

New Feature: GEAR Section

Everyone who does anything takes pride in their working tools. This is especially true for musicians, producers, studios, and anyone else working in the music industry who purchases equipment. This is why we've decided to add a new section to certain profiles - GEAR. 

The GEAR section allows you to list your instruments and equipment. You can upload a photo for each listing. You can also link it to an existing product profile on NuMuBu. For example, you play guitar and one of your instruments is a 5th Avenue semi-hollow electric by Godin. You can type in the name of the guitar, press the "Lookup" button, and select it from the search results. This way the instrument photo is added automatically along with a link directly to the Godin 5th Avenue product profile, where people can learn more about the instrument.

In the weeks to come, you will see more and more product profiles for various instruments and equipment show up on NuMuBu. You can link them in your GEAR section as well as in your song credits. You can also become a fan of a product to receive updates from the manufacturer.
